Better Nation Foundation (BNF) is a legally registered Tanzanian non-governmental organisation founded in 2013 and headquartered in Dar es Salaam. We work at the intersection of arts, education, health advocacy, clean energy, and cultural heritage addressing the root causes of poverty, inequality, and exclusion across more than eleven regions of Tanzania.

We believe that lasting change does not come from outside communities it is built from within. Our role is to create the conditions for that change: through creative engagement, skills development, research, economic empowerment, and advocacy grounded in evidence.
Governed by a Board of Directors comprising five members, BNF combines deep local knowledge with partnerships that span government, academia, and civil society both nationally and internationally.
